Chamber Orchestra Anglia celebrates fifth birthday 17/11/2006
Chamber Orchestra Anglia celebrated its fifth birthday yesterday evening with a gala concert at the Norwich Playhouse. Conducted by Sharon Choa and presented by Christopher Cook of BBC Radio 3, the performance brought together highlights from the last five years and showcased some of the hottest talent from our coCOA programme for young musicians.

Eastern Daily Press reviewer Michael Drake wrote: "Schubert's “Unfinished” Symphony, followed with a vibrant reading and Janacek's youthful and rather beautiful Suite for String Orchestra, was notable for a particularly graceful and mellow second movement. Finally, Copland's Appalachian Spring was full of ebullient character. How COA has blossomed - happy birthday."
